The stillness of ‘Twin Peaks’

The reboot of “Twin Peaks” it presenting some of the weirdest images in television history. The eighth episode alone is enough to keep you dazed and confused for weeks.

But there’s a recurring motif in the series in which nothing happens, and that’s when it’s at its most nerve-racking and bizarre. Here’s a reflection on stillness.

(As a bonus, here’s a clip from episode eight that combines stillness with horror. But the thing is, after this scene was done, the episode got REALLY weird.)
